Registered Social Worker

(she/her)

I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work in Children and Their Families from the University of Toronto. I specialize in child and adolescent mental health (ages 7+), with experience across school, community, and clinical settings, including developing and delivering mental health programming across the Peel District School Board. I am passionate about supporting children, youth, and families in building emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, and navigating life’s challenges with confidence.

I have extensive experience working with adolescents, children, and families navigating challenges related to identity, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Through my work in schools and community settings, I support young people in making sense of their experiences, building emotional awareness, and developing healthy coping strategies. I am particularly mindful of how systemic barriers and cultural contexts shape mental health, and I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered.

In addition to my work with children and adolescents, I bring extensive experience supporting mothers navigating parenthood, major life transitions, and intimate partner violence, alongside working with women with lived experiences of trauma. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive frameworks, with a focus on care that is collaborative, empowering, and respectful of each individual’s unique story

As a South Asian woman, I understand how challenging it can be to find a therapist who truly recognizes and honours the complexity of one’s cultural identity. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where all clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based approaches, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma-informed care, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs.

I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you build insight, develop practical strategies, and strengthen your resilience and self-worth. Together, we can work toward meaningful, lasting change.

I look forward to supporting you in your healing, growth, and overall well-being.
